Places for People and our Association have agreed to work together to update the Allotments and to make part of the allotments into  "Jubilee Gardens".
We hope that with our local Rose Green Infant School helping with ideas for designing this garden we can change  this area into a place to sit and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. The Allotments will still be owned by Places for People but managed by WFRA. The old allotments will be re pegged out with a change to incorporate a few small allotments.

Our residents association was formed to keep to the ideas and conditions that were laid down when this Community Estate was first designed and received planning permission in the 1960s by the local councils.

The concept of this estate was as a open planned Community Estate with large grass areas complete with trees and hedges all landscaped and was also designed with garage compounds with allocated garages and parking bays to keep the cars off the roads, but where the Emergency Services and large vehicles had access without going onto the grass.

The planning permission to build this estate
was agreed by B.R.UDC and W.S.C.C.  but only with set down conditions attached.
(The most important are Conditions 5 &7)

Now Places for People want to change all this by having all the conditions removedby Arun District Council, and then building more & more houses plus demolishing the garages, trees , hedges, (wildlife) where will it end? with another infill after another infill until this estate becomes a problem estate like many other over developed estates around the country.

We say NO to more infill housing and let us
keep our community and our estate as it was
designed.
