Residents save their allotments from developers

WE NOW WANT THESE ALLOTMENTS PLACED INTO A TRUST DEMAND LOCAL RESIDENTS AND PLOT HOLDERS NICK GIBB MP MEETS WITH ALLOTMENT HO;DERS AND MEMBERS OF WILLOWHALE FARM RESIDENTS ASSOCIATION TO CELEBRATE AND HAS A COPY OF THE LETTER FROM PLACES for PEOPLE WHO HAVE STATED THAT THEY WILL NOT NOW BUILD ON THIS SITE.

Nick Gibb on Saturday 27th June 2009 met with a couple of the original plot holders who started the Halnaker Allotments in the 1970’s also members of WFRA who have fought to save these allotments who turned out to celebrate the news

Willowhale Farm Residents Association have received a letter from Places for People Regional Manager David Hooper which states that (The revised plans will not include any development on the allotments, as we in light of your comments at our meeting, will not be pursuing the possibility of building homes on this site.)

Willowhale Allotment Association Chairman David Huntley and their Treasurer Ron Austin sent their apologies that they could not be a this meeting due to prior engagements, but both want to have a meeting with Nick Gibb and Willowhale Farm Residents Association to ask Places for People to have these allotments placed into a trust with (WFRA) so that these allotments can be used by generations of allotment tenants for perpetuity.
