Nick Gibb at Garage Compound

Sat 14th March 2009

Nick Gibb our local MP showed his support for our association
by joining in a protest at a garage compound that Places for
People want to demolish.

Along with aprox 50 members who showed up with banners
and notices to show their support for our residents association,
there was a mixture of all ages who attended this protest,
from toddlers to pensioners, house owners and tenants,
but all agreed that there should be no infill building allowed
on the garage compounds, or the Allotments and no
cars on the grass areas, grass areas to be left alone
and the landscape to be left as originally planned.

Nick Gibb spoke to all present and said that he and
members of WFRA committee had a meeting with
represenatives of Places for People on the previous day
13th March 2009 and that it was made clear that there was
to be no building on our allotments and all we wanted from
Places for People was CONSULTATION NOT CONFRONTATION

The Local Press "Bognor Observer" sent their reporter Kevin
Smith and a Photographer to record the deep feeling of the
residents who are against Places for People deciding to infill
without proper consultation. Please see the link.

Compound other photo's taken by the Observer photographer
