History of the Estate
Willowhale Farm Residents Association was formally formed on the 5th September 2008 and has a committee with a constitution mandate. The aim of the association is to stop building on the allotments and garages plus taking away the grassed areas for car parking.
This estate was built in the late 1960s
This area consists of modern brick built properties, with concrete tiles and picture windows, some are brick faced and some are boarded,(PVC) there is a mixture of Chalet style bungalows, standard bungalows, two storey terraced or semi-detached houses.
All properties have the benefit of open plan fronts, plus purposely planned green areas which are situated throughout the estate. These have been planted with a large variety of trees and hedges, which augments the existing trees which were planted prior to the estate being built.
We also have a working allotments complete with a pond which has Great Crested Newts.
Planning permission to build on this estate came with seven conditions (7) the owners and occupiers of properties who reside on this estate, are entitled to enjoy the style and open plan concept that was designed especially for this estate, complete with its green areas and the existing trees and planted hedges, plus the allotments.
All dwellings are to have allocated garages or parking spaces. CONDITION 5
Places for People and other interested parties are ignoring the residents rights and feelings plus the conditions set down. One garage compound has already been demolished. (Where was the demolition notice?)
Elbridge Crescent and the corresponding roads that enter or exit via Pryors Lane are the main part of the Willowhale Estate, with Bell Court with its one bedroom semi-detached bungalows.
The rest of Elbridge Crescent and its surrounding roads and cul de sacs are two or three bedroom Chalet style semi-detached or terraced bungalows.
The remaining properties are two storey terraced houses with purpose built flats on either end of the terraces.
In the centre of the Estate lies Willowhale Green, all the properties face the Green and private vehicle access is forbidden, Garage blocks are situated on the outskirts of the Green.
Willowhale Community Centre.

This is the heart of the Willowhale Estate which consists of a modern Community Hall, Library, Doctors Surgery and the offices of Aldwick Parish Council.
The Millennium Gardens with its laid out flower beds and benches placed under wooden arbours are in front of the Community Hall.
This is an ideal place to rest and observe the flowers etc, plus take note of the tree which was planted to commemorate the Millennium.

These are the allotments Places for People want to build bungalows:

Places for People want to take away garages and put car parking spaces on the green areas. They are putting pressure on some tenants of garages to vacate them by utilising the terms of the tenancy agreements and giving the customer one week’s clear notice of terminating the tenancy and thus obtaining possession. At such time this garage will be completely removed from service. This information came via Sandra Levallee, Mrs Levallee is the Neighbourhood Officer employed by Places for People.
Below a garage compound that Places for People want to demolish and then park cars on the green area's

Help us to save our Estate we will lose some of our green areas and our garages . Where will the cars park on the greens ? Some residents are already doing this. Places for people should stop them not encourage them.
