MINUTES OF THE MEETING HELD ON 8th OCTOBER 2009
Present: John Bass, Brian Pinchen, Anne Bass, Christine Mitchell,
Tina Mitchell, Dave Mitchell, Allison Honeywood, David Greene,
Tony Edwards, Phillip Conroy
1. Apologies for absence: Ruth Partridge.
2. To approve as a correct record the minutes of the meeting on 13th
August 2009.
The minutes were proposed, approved and signed.
3. Matters arising from the Minutes.
None
4. Secretary’s Report
An email was sent to the Observer regarding the retirement from full-time
reporting of Kevin Smith. This appeared in the Bognor Observer letters on
1st October. Kevin has been of great assistance to our Association and we
wish him well for the future.
Emails have again been sent to Sandra LeVallee regarding members’ problems
on the estate. The Committee will be holding a meeting with Sandra LeVallee
and the PCSOs. This will be a quarterly meeting so we can raise any problems
with them. Time and date to be arranged.
Membership Renewal is now due.
We thank all the members who have already paid and committee members will
be calling to collect any outstanding subscriptions in the near future.
WE NEED YOUR CONTINUED SUPPORT. REMEMBER WE ARE HERE FOR YOU,
THIS IS OUR ESTATE.
5. Reports from Committee Members.
John, Brian, Ruth, David and Nina walked the estate with Sandra LeVallee
and Jill from PfP, together with our two local PCSOs on 17th September.
Matters raised were fences to be repaired, bushes to be cut back, fascias to
be cleaned, paths to be cleared, broken manhole covers to be replaced,
grass to be cut and abandoned and non-taxed cars to be removed.
On the allotments the broken fence is to be removed and replaced and the
trees to be looked at.
6. Chairman’s Report
The Chairman has been in touch with some residents associations in this area,
this is ongoing.
7. Christmas Fayre - 21st November 2009.
The Fayre was discussed in full and the layout of the hall for this year approved.
We are again holding a large Raffle which will include electrical goods,
food hampers (so any tins of food, bottles of drink will be appreciated
(all goods to be in date please)).
Donations for the Raffle would be appreciated. (by 2nd November please).
Many of the local businesses are again donating vouchers or goods.
Remember Father Christmas will be there with his helper. Craft and festive stalls
along with our Cake Stall, Bottle Tombola, Prize Tombola, Teddy Stall,
Lucky Dip for Children, Name the Toy, Books, Jigsaws, etc.
Refreshments as normal will be available.
No entrance fee but a donation bucket.
A reminder to visit our Christmas Fayre will also be on our next minutes and newsletter.
8. Any Other Business

maintenance requirements.
