MINUTES OF THE MEETING HELD ON 3^rd NOVEMBER 2009

Present: John Bass, Brian Pinchen, Ruth Partridge, Christine Mitchell,

Tina Mitchell, Dave Mitchell, Allison Honeywood, David Greene,

Tony Edwards, Phillip Conroy, Anne Bass.

1. Apologies for absence: None.

 2. To approve as a correct record the minutes of the meeting on
      8^th October 2009.
      The minutes were proposed, approved and signed.

 3. Matters arising from the Minutes.

      Membership Renewal.
      There is only a few membership renewals still outstanding.
      Can the members who have not yet paid their subscription please
      contact Anne or Chris.

  4. Secretary’s Report

    Emails have again been sent to Sandra LeVallee regarding members’
    problems on the estate.

     Since the walkabout in September we have been in contact with PfP,
     Arun and  West Sussex County Council. Some of the problems that arose
      have been dealt with.
     These are:
   
      (a) A broken fence has been replaced.

       (b) Bell Court - WSCC have confirmed that the triangular piece of grass
              will be cut by them in the future.

       (c) The diseased tree in Stoney Stile Lane was inspected by the Arun
              Arboriculturist who advised that it should be felled and replaced by a
              new tree.  This tree has now been felled.

        (d) The broken inspection cover in Elbridge Crescent has now been cordoned
               off by WSCC.  We will keep you updated on this matter.

          All other matters relating to the walkabout are in hand. More to follow.

  5. Reports from Committee Members.

     Vandalism.
     John will be going to the Aldwick Police Forum on 24^th November at
     Bognor Police Station to discuss the estate and vandalism. Remember that
     any incidents that occur must be  reported to the Police.

 6. Chairman’s Report

      Brian will be attending the Aldwick Parish Council Reception on 20^th November
      on behalf of the Association regarding our grant.

7. Christmas Fayre - 21^st November 2009.

      REMEMBER to visit our Christmas Fayre on Saturday 21^st November 2009
      between 1pm and 4pm at the Willowhale Community Centre. All children
      must be accompanied.
     Father Christmas will be there with his helpers.
     Craft stalls, Christmas gifts, children’s lucky dip, teddy stalls and others. 
     For the adults there is a Bottle Tombola, Prize Tombola, Cake Stall with
     produce for sale and refreshments are available.
     RAFFLE.
    Raffle tickets are available from Anne and John at 44 Elbridge Crescent.
    They are £1 per strip of five. These will, of course, also be available on the day. 
    We have lots of great prizes. 
    
     Entrance free but a donation bucket will be on hand.

      PLEASE COME AND SUPPORT YOUR ASSOCIATION. TELL YOUR FRIENDS.

8. Any Other Business

     POPPY DAY

     Aldwick Parish Council are holding a Remembrance Service on Wednesday
    11^th November 2009 at the Millennium Gardens (outside the Community Centre).
    Assemble at 10.30am, a wreath will be laid before a two minute silence at 11am.
    ALL ARE INVITED.

9. The date of the next Committee Meeting (Committee Members only)
     to be held on Thursday, 10^th December 2009.
