MINUTES OF THE ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING (AGM) HELD ON 19TH MARCH 2010 AT 7 PM AT THE ALDWICK PARISH COUNCIL OFFICES, PRYORS LANE
Present: John Bass, Brian Pinchen, Anne Bass, Christine Mitchell, Ruth Partridge, Phillip Conroy,Tony Edwards,David Mitchell.
1. Apologies for absence: Allison Honeywood, David Greene.
2. John introduced the Committee and outlined the Agenda for the evening.
3. The Chairman, Brian, then outlined the position of the Association, the Constitution and the work progress for the previous year and reminded everyone of the dates of our May Fayre being 22nd May and the Christmas Fayre 22nd November and the need for fundraising and more members. He thanked all committee members for their hard work.
4. The Secretary, Anne, outlined her duties within the Association and contacts are ongoing with various councils, Nick Gibb, our MP, Places for People and other organisations. She was pleased to inform members that our Friday morning “Willows” Call-in Centre was now under way.
5. The Treasurer, Chris, stated that a full set of accounts from our Accountant has now been received.
6. All Committee members then stood down for election/re-election of the Committee.
7. Election of Chairman. Brian was re-elected unopposed.
8. Election of Secretary. Anne was re-elected unopposed.
9. Election of Treasurer. Chris was re-elected unopposed.
10. The remaining Committee were re-elected unopposed.
11. Co-option of members. We have the right to co-opt members as required during this coming year and a form was made available for members wishing to help.
12. The latest proposals for development.
John outlined the plans from Places for People regarding the change of sites for the infill of the estate. The latest plans were on show and John and Brian discussed each site plan in detail with members.
After a full and varied discussion a vote was called for and the results were as follows:
a. To accept the plans in full - REJECTED unanimously
b. To object to the plans - CARRIED unanimously
c. To carry on discussions with Places for People - CARRIED unanimously
13. Allotments were discussed but we cannot progress any further until Places for People transfer a licence to WFRA. This will take at least two months. Surgery to existing trees and the renewal of the chain link fencing around the allotments are to take place by Places for People.
14. Any Other Business.
a. Grass cutting on the estate. We will contact Places for People regarding this.
b. Maintenance charges. We advised all houseowners who pay maintenance charges to Places for People to get together and form their own objection group. (Some members have already started discussions with Nick Gibb).
15. Date of Next AGM. This will be held during March 2011.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - NOTES OF MINUTES OF COMMITTEE HELD 16TH MARCH 2010 HELD PRIOR TO THE AGM
1. The minutes of the meeting of 28th January 2010 were approved.
2. Matters arising from the minutes. None.
3. Report from Secretary (a) Willows Call-in Centre now started.
(b) Reports required for AGM 19th March (c) NORA annual subscription paid.
4. Meeting with PfP, Nick Gibb and Committee 12th March 2010.
We received copies of their infill plans for the estate.
These to be shown at our AGM and a vote to be taken.
5. Any other business – REMINDER. “Willows” next 3 dates are 9th April, 7th May and 21st May. Please come – it’s fun and free.
6. The date of next Committee meeting (Committee members only) to be held on Tuesday 11th May 2010.
